The city of San Francisco had just announced plans to install twenty full-length touchscreens in bus shelters all around town. We knew just what to do with them and were eager to become pioneers of the new technology. So with Yahoo! as the brand behind the effort, we connected them all into one micro-network that allowed the city’s neighborhoods to play head-to-head games against each other in real-time. Bus shelter vs. Bus Shelter. Neighborhood pride vs. Neighborhood pride. When the competition ended, the winning neighborhood got one hell of a block party (featuring the band Ok Go) as the reward.
Below are some films we shot with Bryan Buckley for the brand.
